We are proud to collaborate with Vermil Archery (based in Thailand) to bring you the next generation of rings. Vermil resin rings are a great introductory ring available in 9 different sizes (please measure the dimensions of your thumb using calipers and consult the Vermil sizing charts below).
For those looking for a premium, long-lasting option, the Vermil Victory, Lotus II, and Classic made with various metal finishes including Brass, Bronze, and Silver+. Different sizes are available, though molds are slightly different, so please consult the size charts.
Finally, new to the line-up are the custom-sized Qing/Manchu cylindrical rings made from a durable biocomposite plastic.
The Lantern is a new generation ring with a sturdy, guard-less design and smooth contours that mitigate pressure points. Greater for heavier draw weights (and any draw weight). In conjunction with a leather lining (皮襯), Justin was able to use a Silver+ Lantern to shoot with a 143# bow (video).
Materials: Black Resin ($20), Silver+ ($50)
(Note: size tolerance is +/- 0.3mm.)
The Victory is now available in metal. Note that the sizes of the opening are somewhat different from the Vermil resin ring sizes, so please measure carefully and consult the chart below.
Materials: Brass ($35), Bronze ($40), Silver+ ($45)
(Note: size tolerance is +/- 0.3mm.)
The Lotus II is now available in metal. Note that the sizes of the opening are somewhat different from the Vermil resin ring sizes, so please measure carefully and consult the chart below.
Materials: Silver+ ($45)
(Note: size tolerance is +/- 0.3mm.)
The Victory is a 3rd-generation ring designed in collaboration with The Cinnabar Bow. Its lip is thinner than other models, allowing for more space between the string and the palm, as well as more coverage of your thumb pad. The Victory also has a pinch-free, two-pronged guard, which gives your thumb joint more room to bend and provides a more stable hold on the string (the string rests across the dimple, which mitigates unintentional up/down rolling).
Price (Resin): $15 per ring
(Note: size tolerance is +/- 0.5mm.)
The Lotus II is an updated version of the original Lotus and features a revised string ledge angle. It is great for archers who prefer the simplicity of rings without a string guard. As you pull, place the string at the bottom edge of the lip just outside the eye (opening) of the ring.
Price (Resin): $15 per ring
(Note: size tolerance is +/- 0.5mm.)
Vermil's original design features a solid string guard for comfort and protection. Great for learning. Rest the string between the lip and guard, and make sure you don't hook your thumb too far around the string.
Price (Resin): $15 per ring
(Note: size tolerance is +/- 0.5mm.)
Vermil's original design is now available in metal. Note that the sizes of the opening are somewhat different from the Vermil resin ring sizes, so please measure carefully and consult the chart below.
Materials: Silver+ ($45)
(Note: size tolerance is +/- 0.3mm.)
The Vermil Turkish ring design is inspired by the short-lipped Ottoman thumb rings. If you want a minimalistic but durable thumb ring, this is it!
Materials: Silver+ ($45)
(Note: size tolerance is +/- 0.3mm.)

Notice on Modifying the Vermil Resin Ring: These rings are easy to customize using a file or sandpaper. You should wear breathing protection when modifying the ring. Do not attempt to melt the ring --- instead, if you find the ring too tight or too loose, please send the ring back to us for an exchange, or contact us for advice on how to adjust it.
We are proud to introduce the Bozhur, a metal thumb ring designed by Zack Djurica of Nomadic Arts Archery in Canada (who is also known for his exquisitely researched and reproduced historical quivers).
"Bozhur" translates to "peony". This metal ring is a reproduction of an antique excavated from Southern Serbia. This is available in different materials. Please inquire for details and ordering.
Available materials: Bronze ($50), Silver ($120), Gold (please inquire), Titanium (please inquire).
